Tracy Park is a boutique golf resort with two championship 18-hole golf courses set over 240 acres on the outskirts of the World Heritage City of Bath and within easy reach of the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds.
THE CROWN COURSE
Nestling in the heart of the estate and some of our most mature and established natural parkland the Crown Course is the tougher test of our two courses. Although being an easier walk the course is slightly longer than the Cromwell at 6201 yards par 69. The greens are smaller and being more tree lined strategy and accuracy are a must to play to your handicap on this course. The key to a good score is to get through the first 5 holes reasonably un-scathed, as it's a tough start. If you can do that there are some good scoring opportunities later on in the round but also some holes that can bite back if you get a little wayward.
THE CROMWELL COURSE
The Cromwell Course is a combination of both old and new and at 6157 yards long and par 71 is a good stern test. The first 5 and last 4 holes are part of the original 18 holes and meander through some lovely old and mature parkland trees. The newer middle 9 holes are situated over looking the battleground of Freezing Hill, where the bloodiest battle of the English Civil War took place between the armies of King Charles the 1st and Oliver Cromwell in July 1643. The battle spilled over onto these fairways hence the name of the course. The course has large USGA spec greens with beautiful views over looking the local area. On a clear day you can even see both crossings of the Severn estuary.
